Grace Childre's Home

History

Grace Children's Home is a home for orphans located in the slums of Nairobi.

Support

The International Humanitarian Hope Society (IHHS) saw a need for a purchase of septic tank as the sewer was running freely and the children were sick with airborne diseases. There was also need for fresh water because water was trucked in which is an expensive process. The Home had started digging a well and the IHHS has raised the funds to complete this project. In addition, it has help the orphanage with completing the need for mattresses and bedding as the children were sleeping three to one bed, on a twin bed. Also, the overdue medical and food have been paid.

IHHS overall evaluation of this home includes: the operation of Grace Care Home is impressive for the little amount of finances presently available; the children are very happy; the staff is very committed and cheerful; the vision for the future of this orphanage will include a medical clinic and continued education to include high school.
